Glider rockers

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s new searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.


Units: About 38,600

Importer: LaJobi Inc., of Cranbury, N.J.

Hazard: The base of the glider rocker can crack or break, posing a fall hazard.

Description: The Graco-branded Avalon glider rockers with ottoman and Complete Nursery Solution (CNS) Box 2/Katelyn Nursery Solution glider rockers were sold in classic cherry, classic white and espresso wood finishes with sandstone color fabric seats. Only the rockers are recalled. The Graco logo, item numbers, name and the place of manufacture are printed on a label under the seat.

Recalled are Avalon models 1062335-065, 1062335-071, 1062381-065, 1062381-071, 1062384-065, 1062384-071, 5827914, 8529752 and 9382976, and CNS/Katelyn models 7822758, 6858104 and 8971382.

Sold at: Avalon was sold at Burlington and other mass retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Target.com and Walmart.com from December 2009 to October 2012 for about $170. The CNS Box 2/Katelyn model was sold exclusively at Walmart.com from November 2011 to October 2012 for about $135.
