The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Units: About 12,500

Hazard: The youth all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) do not meet requirements of the federal ATV standard for maximum unrestricted speed and parking brakes, posing a crash hazard.

Description: Model year 2008 through 2015 Can-Am Mini DS ATVs are recalled. The youth model ATVs have engine sizes of 70 cubic centimeters and 90 cubic centimeters. They were sold in black or yellow. Model year 2008 through 2014 DS 70 ATVs do not meet requirements for unrestricted maximum speed of the vehicle. Model year 2008 through 2015 DS 70 and DS 90 ATVs do not meet requirements pertaining to parking brakes.

Sold at: Can-Am dealers nationwide from July 2007 through January 2015 for $1,800 to $2,800.
