The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of the following products. Consumers should stop using recalled products unless otherwise instructed. Consumers can submit reports of harm to CPSC’s searchable online product safety database at www.SaferProducts.gov. A searchable food and medical product recall database is available at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/default.htm.

Units: About 359,000

Hazard: The nightlight’s plastic covering can detach and expose electrical components, posing an electrical shock hazard.

Description: All PATRULL nightlights are recalled. Nightlights come in white, orange and pink and have an IKEA logo. They turn on automatically in the dark and off in the light. A dome-shaped plastic cover that gives the light its color and is attached to a white rectangular plastic base.

Sold at: IKEA stores nationwide and online at www.ikea-usa.com. from August 2013 to July 2015 for about $4.

Remedy: Unplug the nightlight. Contact IKEA for a refund.
