Using the Internet is a daily necessity for many children. June is Internet Safety Month, an opportunity to remind families how to protect their children from cyberbullying, spam and viruses, hackers, online predators and other issues.

To help children stay safe in cyberspace, the Academy offers SafetyNet, a compilation of resources talking to kids about social media and sexting, keeping kids safe in cyberspace, a media time family pledge, and links to AAP policies and partner resources to remain web savvy. For details, visit http://safetynet.aap.org.
