An app called ImageInBox revolutionizes the transfer of medical images and diagnostic
reports between health care professionals or to patients via smartphone, tablet, laptop
The app from NexGenic eliminates the time, cost and hassle of retrieving and delivering
vital information on CD. It also prevents unnecessary radiation that results from
additional diagnostic testing if images are otherwise unavailable.
After downloading the app, users can view videos and documentation available at NexGenic.com
to guide them through the process. Once in the app, patients and clinicians can exchange
images without paying for storage or risking privacy loss. The app complies with the
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act as NexGenic never stores or has
access to patients’ protected health information and data are encrypted.
ImageInBox is available from the Apple App store at https://apple.co/2xFNZKf and Google Play at http://bit.ly/2JcT1z5 for 99 cents after a three-month introductory period that is configurable with users’
Google Drive accounts. The app also is available for free on desktop/laptop from NexGenic.com
for local file storage.
Health care professionals can send up to 25 image studies per month for free. Pricing
information for those using more than 25 transfers per month is available at http://www.nexgenic.com/providers/.
