James Wallace, M.D., Emeritus Fellow, died in December 1985. He was 91.
A resident of Long Boat Key, Fla., he became an Academy member in 1931.
Talcott Bates, M.D., Emeritus Fellow, died Dec. 14, 1985 at his Carmel, Calif., home. He was 74.
An active member of California Chapter 1 and former chairman of the chapter's Child Abuse Committee, Dr. Bates had retired from office earlier last year to devote his energies to community pediatrics and child abuse prevention. He was a member of the Section on Community Pediatrics.
Crawford "Abe" Bost, M.D., FAAP, died Dec. 23, 1985 in Grass Valley, Calif. He was 85.
Past president of the AAP (1954-55), Dr. Bost was a recipient of the Abraham Jacobi Award and the Gold Headed Cane from the University of California. He practiced pediatrics in San Francisco until his retirement in 1971 and taught many of those now in practice in the Bay area.
