Herbert Miller, M.D., Emeritus FAAP, died March 21 at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He was 88.
Dr. Miller grew up in Northford, Conn., and returned there after his retirement in 1978.
He was a 1930 graduate of Yale College and a 1934 graduate of Yale Medical School. He taught and conducted research at Yale before joining the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, where he was chairman of the Department of Pediatrics from 1945 to 1972. In 1972, the State of Kansas Board of Regents dedicated the Children's Rehabilitation Center as the Herbert Miller Building.
